We are upgrading our Delphi7 application which uses ImageLib to Delphi XE7. We use the library for acquiring images into our database and subsequent read-only display. ImageLib is no longer developed so we must find an alternative imaging library. We want to switch to Firemonkey because it enables us to extend our applications across all major platforms with a single code base.
We are seeing major shifts from desktop computing to tablet computing across the industry. We have already released some tablet-based solutions with much more to come. We could really use a library set like ImageEn for Firemonkey.
If ImageEn supported Firemonkey, ImageEn would be our #1 choice. Embarcadero has made it clear that Firemonkey and FireDAC are replacing the VCL and DBExpress respectively. If you don't migrate your code, I'm afraid you may be looking at an End of Life scenario for your product.
